Camas, WA, April 26, 2018 – Furuno introduced the world’s first multi touch navigation systems with NavNet TZtouch. The TZT9 and TZT14 MFD’s ushered in a new era of usability in marine electronics, with boaters instantly enjoying the familiar gestures and simplicity of operation that come with using a multi touch device. In NavNet TZtouch2 revolutionized the market again with a more refined user interface, and a growing selection of award-winning options for both TZtouch and TZtouch2.Furuno is once again expanding upon their legacy of innovation with the introduction of a new line of “Hi-Brite” Multi Touch Marine Monitors, offering state of the art brilliance and sensitivity to Furuno TZtouch and TZtouch2 Black Box systems. Furuno is proud to introduce a whole new series of professional grade multi touch monitors: The 17-inch MU175T, 19-inch MU195T, and the 24-inch, wide aspect ratio MU245T.
The MU175T/195T/245T Multi Touch Monitors are the ideal companion to complete both the NavNet TZtouch and TZtouch2 Black Box systems. These monitors offer an edge-to-edge glass design, as well as incorporating Glass Display Controls with no physical buttons or switches, giving any bridge or helm a stylish, rich and beautiful appearance. Each of these monitors utilizes Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT; also PCAP) technology to provide the ultimate in responsive sensitivity, as well as employing extremely bright TFT active-matrix LCD and LED backlight technology. With a brilliant display of vivid colors, excellent contrast, and wide viewing angles, the MU-T series is perfect for all lighting conditions.
The MU175T/195T/245T “Hi-Brite” Multi Touch Monitors boast brilliance levels of 1,000 candela, and are also fully dimmable, so night vision will not be affected by the gray glow that is commonly experienced with off-the-shelf monitors. The LCD and glass are bonded together to ensure fog-free operation, and these rugged displays boast an IP66 (front) and IP22 (rear) waterproof rating, making them true marine-grade monitors. Whether installed on a flybridge or inside of an enclosed pilot house, these monitors perform flawlessly in any setting.
Multiple inputs allow you to display information from virtually any video source. Adjustable Picture-In-Picture and Picture-By-Picture modes ensure all of your critical information will be within view. Full Glass Display Controls include the ability to customize two “hot keys” on the display, and the updated touchscreen interface provides a better and faster response than ever before. With dual power source capability, all of these monitors can automatically switch power sources without interruption.
If you are getting ready to outfit a flybridge or an enclosed pilot house with a TZTouch or TZTouch2 system, you owe it to yourself to take a look at the new line of multi touch monitors from Furuno – sure to perform flawlessly for you for years to come!
