See if you can get a straight answer out of the Simrad people on what happened with the Expedition BR24 integration. I would buy a dome in a second if I could get it working with my PC and Expedition, but don’t have space for another plotter on the boat… I tried talked to them at the Seattle show last week but they seemed more interested in selling plotters than the radar, which might be my answer right there…

Simrad or Navico as it is known now that it has been taken over by a group of investors has lost its customer focus. Here in Australia I could not get the salesman to return calls or emails for more than 6 weeks At last his boss responded with a answer that said pay before me manufacture and we will send the product in 4 months.

Congratulations on your BWI Electronics writing award and the recognition for Panbo. Well deserved, Ben!

Thanks, Chris! And sorry to all that I haven’t been publishing more, but the good news is that I can barely absorb all the interesting product news available at this show. The marine electronics world is highly energized, and I’ll have lots to talk about in the coming weeks.

We want to know everything now! 🙂
Really – Thanks for all you do. It is appreciated by so many of us.

    Ben,
I love Panbo and check in pretty much daily. That said, the two times that you’ve switched to a Twitter format have been a disappointment to me. There is so little information that I visit only occasionally and only to I see if the regular posts have begun again. Of course if I’m the only one who doesn’t like the format, ignore me and keep doing what you’re doing.

Point taken, Jeff, and constructive criticism always welcome here. I would like to find an effective quickie posting technique for shows, and maybe a Panbo sidebar of news bits, but Twitter certainly may not be it.
